Job Description

About the Role As a Metal Fabrication Assistant, you will play a vital role in our production workflow by supporting skilled operators and ensuring the precision of finished components. You will contribute to high-quality output by managing material handling, performing secondary finishing tasks, and assisting in the mechanical assembly of complex parts. Responsibilities Support machine operators by managing the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished goods from lasers, conveyors, and transport skids. Ensure part integrity by operating tumblers and applying necessary rust preventative coatings to finished components. Refine product quality by removing burrs and excess metal, ensuring all pieces meet exact specifications. Execute assembly procedures by drilling, tapping, and reaming holes to prepare components for final integration. Assemble finished units by aligning parts and utilizing hardware such as bolts, screws, and rivets. Verify the functionality of completed products through hands-on testing and inspection. Maintain a high-standard, organized, and safe production environment to maximize operational efficiency. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to follow technical blueprints and assembly instructions. Experience with manual and power tools including drills, taps, and reamers. Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on precision and quality control. Ability to lift and move materials safely within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Commitment to maintaining workplace safety and cleanliness standards. Reliable team player with a proactive approach to solving production challenges.
