Cheese Production Operator (1st Shift)

Makeroom Operator (AM Shift) - Burnett Dairy Cooperative (Grantsburg, WI) Burnett Dairy Cooperative is hiring Makeroom Operators to support cheese production in our dairy facility. These roles are hands-on and play a critical part in ensuring consistent product quality throughout the cheesemaking process.

AM Makeroom Table Runner Schedule:

2-2-3 rotating schedule

Hours:

5:30 AM - 5:30

PM Pay:

$20.00/hour

What You'll Do:

Assist in the production of cheese by supporting cheesemakers Monitor equipment and production processes throughout the shift Track and record pH, acid, and moisture levels Monitor cooker temperatures and cheese flow through the process Perform production tasks such as knitting, milling, mixing, and boxing cheese Transport carts and equipment as needed Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties

Work Environment:

Fast-paced production setting Hot, humid, and damp conditions Combination of team-based and independent work Continuous movement throughout the shift

Physical Requirements:

Continuous standing and walking Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and movement Frequent use of hands (gripping, handling, fine motor tasks) Lifting 20-30 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 60+ lbs Ability to work in hot and humid conditions This position is a key part of the cheesemaking process and offers an opportunity to be directly involved in production from start to finish.
