Manufacturing IT Support Specialist

Overview We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical support across hardware, software, and networking environments. This individual will troubleshoot issues, support end users, and ensure timely resolution of incidents while delivering a strong customer experience. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and operating system issues Analyze, diagnose, and resolve end-user technical problems Provide remote support for systems and applications using standard tools Take ownership of assigned tickets and ensure resolution within defined SLAs Escalate complex issues to senior team members as needed Collaborate with team members and leadership to resolve issues efficiently Accurately document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system Develop and contribute to knowledge base documentation Support IT processes and procedures in alignment with team standards Maintain inventory of IT assets and equipment Assist with infrastructure support and deployment activities as needed Provide on-call support outside of standard business hours when required Participate in additional IT support tasks and projects as assigned Required Skills Desktop support experience in a Windows environment Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD Familiarity with imaging tools and device deployment (SCCM preferred) Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) Qualifications 1+ years of experience supporting Windows and/or iOS environments in an enterprise setting Experience with device management and system administration tools Working knowledge of disk imaging and PXE boot processes Experience using ticketing systems (Freshservice or similar preferred) Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage customer interactions with professionalism and clarity Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation skills Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Willingness to learn and continuously build technical knowledge Ability to meet physical requirements of the role (lifting equipment, moving devices, etc.) Nice to Have Experience supporting deployments or changes to networking infrastructure Exposure to enterprise-level IT environments and processes Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
