We are seeking skilled Audiovisual and Event Technicians for our Elective-Schedule Role - Production Flex Specialist (ESR) . While our full-time staff handles the standard weekly production cycles, our ESR team members are the "Agile Force" that brings our largest events to life. This role is designed for the high-level freelancer, the student of the craft, or the industry pro looking to supplement their income without sacrificing their personal calendar. The "Agile Staffing Model": We provide the platform and the projects; you choose the hours. Through the Homebase app, you have total autonomy to claim open shifts that align with your expertise and availability -ranging from weekday corporate sessions to weekend galas and overnight installs. Key Responsibilities Assist with event load-ins, installations, event execution, and strikes Support audio, video, lighting, staging, décor, and scenic production elements Operate event technology and production equipment as assigned by Event Leads and Project Managers Assist with setup and operation of audio systems, video displays, projection, livestreaming equipment, and lighting systems Support power distribution, cable management, and production infrastructure while maintaining safe work practices Install décor, scenic elements, vinyl graphics, pipe-and-drape, furniture, and custom event environments Perform touch-ups, repairs, and finishing work to maintain the appearance and quality of event inventory Maintain warehouse organization, equipment quality control, and inventory standards Follow event floor plans, production schedules, and installation instructions with attention to detail Interact professionally with clients, venue staff, vendors, and fellow team members Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards Who You Are A dependable, self-motivated team player who enjoys hands-on work Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and adapting to changing event needs Able to remain calm under pressure and troubleshoot challenges as they arise Physically able to lift and move equipment weighing 50+ pounds Comfortable working nights, weekends, and flexible hours based on event schedules Professional, respectful, and confident when working in corporate venues and client-facing environments Committed to maintaining a safe workplace and following OSHA and company safety guidelines Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued: Audio, Video & Lighting Production Audio console operation, including Allen & Heath systems Corporate audio mixing, live music reinforcement, and wireless microphone systems Video switching, projection, livestreaming, and signal routing Video signal standards including SDI, HDMI, and NDI Lighting systems, programming, fixture setup, and console operation Basic power distribution and production infrastructure Scenic, Décor & Fabrication Vinyl installation and graphic application Scenic painting, touch-ups, and furniture repair Pipe-and-drape installation and fabric management Woodworking, assembly, and operation of basic power tools Event décor installation and custom scenic builds Attention to detail in furniture placement, styling, and overall event presentation Schedule & Expectations Flexible, shift-based position with opportunities to claim available event and warehouse shifts No minimum shift requirements or on-call expectations Primarily evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules, with occasional warehouse opportunities available Technicians are expected to arrive prepared, communicate professionally, and contribute to efficient event execution from load-in through strike Why Join Events By Design?
