Job Title:
Production Operator Job Description The Production Operator on 2nd shift assembles circuit boards and related sub-assemblies using hand tools and production machinery in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role follows computer-based, step-by-step instructions to complete each assembly and performs quality checks to ensure products meet established standards before moving to the next stage of production. Responsibilities Assemble circuit boards and sub-assemblies using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches. Operate production machinery to print solder paste and work with smaller electronic components as directed. Follow detailed, computer-based, step-by-step instructions for each assembly process. Log into and navigate multiple computer programs at the same time to access the correct work instructions and documentation. Perform visual and functional quality checks on completed work before passing it to the next production step. Use basic soldering techniques when required to support assembly tasks. Handle general production tasks such as picking, packaging, and preparing components and finished products as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and quality standards. Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and team members to meet production goals and resolve basic issues. Follow all workplace safety guidelines and standard operating procedures throughout the shift. Essential Skills Ability to use basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches, in a production or assembly setting. Capability to operate basic production machinery after receiving training. Comfort using computers daily, including logging into multiple programs and following on-screen instructions. Basic understanding of assembly processes, with 1 year of assembly experience preferred. Familiarity with soldering processes, with 1-2 years of soldering experience preferred for higher starting pay. Ability to perform quality checks and pay close attention to detail throughout the assembly process. Reliability in following step-by-step instructions and standard operating procedures. Strong general production skills, including picking and packaging tasks. Customer service experience that supports communication, patience, and teamwork. Willingness to work 2nd shift and adapt to multiple schedule options based on business needs. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neenah, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.30/hr.
