Position Overview As a Maintenance Technician II , you will provide advanced multi-craft maintenance support across a modern manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex production equipment while ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for experienced technicians who are confident working with both mechanical and electrical systems and who take pride in solving problems, improving equipment performance, and supporting production reliability. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, and production machinery Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues using structured diagnostic methods Install, align, repair, and replace mechanical drive systems and components Perform electrical testing using meters (ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other diagnostic tools) Maintain and repair electrical systems including wiring, switches, lighting, and control components Ensure proper lubrication and mechanical upkeep of all assigned equipment Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems Recommend process improvements based on equipment performance and reliability trends Train and mentor junior technicians and production operators Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the facility Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance or comparable experience Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals Experience with industrial tools and shop equipment (drill press, band saw, power tools, etc.) Ability to use precision measuring instruments Strong computer skills (CMMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting Willingness to train and mentor others Technical degree (2-year) preferred Completion of skills assessment required Work Environment & Physical Requirements Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Standing, walking, bending, and climbing throughout the shift Exposure to mechanical equipment, conveyors, and forklift traffic Must be able to follow all safety protocols and procedures without exception Required to work in alignment with environmental and safety compliance standards Safety & Quality Expectations Maintain strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures Immediately report safety incidents, hazards, or equipment concerns Participate in annual skills assessments and ongoing technical training Support a culture of continuous improvement, safety awareness, and operational excellence Compensation & Benefits Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Supplemental insurance options (accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity) 401(k) retirement savings plan Life and disability insurance Employee assistance program Legal support services Auto, home, and pet insurance options Employee discounts with preferred vendors Why Join This Team This is an opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing organization that values technical expertise and invests in long-term employee success.
