Mechatronics Production Technologist (TRUMPF/Motoman) Stoughton/STI Holdings Stoughton, WI Job Details $26 - $32 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Build the backbone of a smart fabrication line Join us to orchestrate automated and manual operations—autonomous cutting, sorting, stacking, bending (forming), punching, and robotic welding—so every welded assembly leaves the cell right the first time. You'll be the technical conductor linking Design Engineering, R D, Supply Chain, Operations, and production supervision. Your mission Ensure equipment is production-ready at shift start; keep systems fully connected and optimized. Program parts and processes; remove automation bottlenecks; restart equipment after faults. Lead diagnosis and repair; coordinate with external suppliers when necessary. Translate solid models and blueprints into executable programs; produce R D parts, conduct time studies, and validate new products/prototypes.
Drive KPI performance:
on-time delivery, quality, takt management, and machine utilization. Coach operators, deliver training, and facilitate preventive maintenance; communicate status to Line Lead and Production Supervisor. Perform in-station quality checks; propose improvements; maintain accurate logs and a clean, safe environment. Set up and run machining centers; inspect machinery; troubleshoot minor errors; report breakdowns promptly. Support schedule adherence and regulatory compliance; complete additional tasks as assigned. Toolchain and platforms

Education:
High school diploma required; Associate's in a focused technology preferred.
Certifications:
Robotics or programming desirable; Welding desirable; Crane certification.
Core capabilities:
PLC troubleshooting and programming; equipment troubleshooting; HMI navigation; machine setups; tape measure mastery.
Manufacturing fluency:
TRUMPF or similar machine tools; lasers, bend cells, robotics, automation, robotic weld cells, mechatronics.
Engineering literacy:
CAD and production programming software; read/interpret maintenance and repair instructions.
Systems insight:
Intermediate electrical and hydraulics desirable; welding and assembly/parts fit-up; laser cutting, forming, and parts fit-up.
Foundational skills:
Hand tools and measuring devices; basic math; intermediate computer knowledge.
