About the Role MAAX is currently seeking motivated Manufacturing Associate to join our Martinsburg, WV team. In this role, you will support the fiberglass bathtub production process, which includes mold preparation, coatings application, fiberglass reinforcement, trimming, finishing, and demolding. This position is ideal for detail-oriented candidates who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Primary Responsibilities Follow standard work instructions, safety guidelines, and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Record production data (counts, defects, downtime) as required. Support cross-training and assist other production areas as needed. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals. Perform one or more of the following functions: Mold Preparation & Coating Operate and maintain gel coat spray equipment. Apply mold release agents and check mold cleanliness. Inspect coatings for air pockets, drips, or uneven surfaces. Fiberglass Application & Reinforcement Operate chop gun to apply fiberglass and resin mixtures. Place and secure reinforcement boards in molds. Use rollers to smooth layers and eliminate air pockets. Finishing & Trimming Trim and finish fiberglass products using saws, grinders, and hand tools. Inspect trimmed parts for accuracy and quality. Maintain tools and report maintenance needs. Demolding & Handling Remove finished products from molds with care. Transport units to staging or storage areas. Inspect final products for cracks, defects, or imperfections. Required Skills & Abilities Ability to measure and handle materials with precision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Comfortable with repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to cross-train across multiple functions. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior manufacturing or fiberglass experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to fiberglass and adhesives (PPE provided). Ability to stand for extended periods.
