Strong customer service skills, cash handling, & time management skills are a requirement for this position.

Job Description:

Equipment Operation Machine Pressing:

Operating professional steam presses, "pant toppers," and "shirt units" to remove wrinkles and restore the shape of garments.

Garment Care & Quality Control Label Reading:

Carefully checking care labels to determine the correct temperature and steam settings to avoid scorching or melting fabrics.

Quality Inspection:

Examining finished garments for any remaining stains, broken buttons, or missed wrinkles before they move to the assembly area.

Stain Identification:

Occasionally spotting stains that the cleaning process missed and returning them to the dry cleaner or spotter for treatment.

Productivity & Physical Tasks Volume Management:

Meeting hourly production quotas (especially for high-volume items like men's dress shirts) to ensure orders are ready for customer pickup.

Folding and Hanging:

Properly placing garments on hangers or folding them according to the shop's specific standards to prevent new wrinkles.

Equipment Maintenance:

Performing basic daily maintenance, such as cleaning the heads of the presses and ensuring the padding is in good condition

Hand Ironing:

Using industrial steam irons for detailed work on delicate fabrics, pleats, collars, and ruffles that machines can't handle.

Steam Finishing:

Using a steam tunnel or hand-held steamer to remove light wrinkles from sensitive items like silk or synthetic blends.

Job Types:

Part-time, Full-time Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
