Job Description

Job Summary The Quality Control Inspector directly reports to Microbiologist/Lab Supervisor and Quality Director. Tasks include but are not limited to Quality Control inspectional rounds. Monitors and reports any nonconformances. Duties
  • Quality Control conducts inspectional rounds of pharmacy, blending, encapsulation, tableting compression, coating and packaging departments on their scheduled time.
  • Performs in process test and release powders, capsules, tablets, and liquids.
  • Daily weighing scales verification.
  • Daily calibration of Laboratory pH meter.
  • Disposal of old labels with packaging department as per customer's instruction and after QC approval.
  • Inspects and release production equipment through ATP Bioluminescence testing kit.
  • Arrange raw material, in process products and final finished products sample rooms.
  • Release raw materials, empty capsules, and ALL packaging components inventory cards.
  • In process check and release of manufacturing and packaging batch orders.
  • QC activities at Red Gum facility on as needed basis.
  • Sample quarantined materials for release into general production storage areas
  • Report to QC in the event of any damage or issues
  • Applies release/reject stickers to identified raw material goods, packaging components and products on QC hold
  • Assists with daily QC responsibilities
  • Daily monitoring of temperature and humidity in production areas and rooms Education, Training and Work Experience Required
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
REQUIRED
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Quality Control Department.
  • MS Office proficient
  • Excellent organizational skills, Verbal/Written
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) - helpful but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and meet timelines
  • AA or BS Degree - helpful but not required. Physical Requirements
  • Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Able to walk/run/stand on varying flooring surfaces, i.e., cement, tile, wood, grass, dirt, etc.
  • Able to repeatedly bend, twist, squat, and stoop
  • Able to extend arms forward, overhead, sideways, and downward
  • Able to lift and carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds.
  • Able to be exposed to varying levels of machinery noise up to ninety (90) decibels as an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA)
  • Able to be exposed to hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Able to be exposed to allergens, odors, dust from nutraceutical raw materials and powders during an 8-10-hour shift.

From $19.00 per hour
