Analyst II QC Molecular Chem - Berkeley, CA Analyst II QC Molecular Chem As an Analyst II QC Molecular Chem, you will provide leadership to the Quality Control team, overseeing laboratory activities related to the sampling, testing, and documentation of raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and stability samples. You are responsible for reviewing and evaluating critical documentation for accuracy and compliance, directing the development of new analytical testing methodologies, and implementing strategies to enhance laboratory efficiency, capacity utilization, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role is crucial in representing the Electrophoresis and DNA labs, executing team objectives, and assisting in implementing optimization and efficiency projects supporting the lab.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine testing and lab maintenance for the team, including scheduling testing, tracking equipment maintenance schedules, and coordinating lab maintenance activities; Ensure labs are maintained to meet compliance and safety requirements, escalating issues to management when necessary; Raise issues and ask questions to appropriate levels of team or management, assisting in solving or implementing solutions; Help execute training for new analysts or the rollout of new programs to the team; Assist the team during health authority inspections and troubleshoot lab and method-related issues; Identify trends or areas for improvement to gain efficiencies and optimize processes, working with other teams and departments to implement solutions; Assist with Change Control Work Packages, perform SOP revisions, execute qualification protocols and reports, and support control chart activities and trending of standards and controls.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
BS in Biological Sciences or other science-related field; Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a GxP laboratory, preferably with Biologics products; Knowledgeable in PCR and gel-electrophoresis technologies with some experience in method validation; Proficiency or experience in LIMS, SAP, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, Spectrophotometer, Electrophoresis (agarose, PAGE, etc.), qPCR, and RT-PCR. Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $77,760.00 to $116,640.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
