Quality Control Inspector La Mirada, CA Job Details Full-time From $60,000 a year 4 days ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications EHS Regulatory compliance Data analysis skills High school diploma or GED Change management Data entry Training Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialized flooring and surface preparation products, is looking for a QC Coordinator to join their team in La Mirada, CA . In this multifaceted role, you will be the primary authority on site for both Quality Control and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems, ensuring that raw materials, finished goods, and facility operations meet the highest corporate and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Perform rigorous quality tests on raw materials and finished goods, analyzing data via technical spreadsheets and databases to authorize product shipping. Monitor raw material receipts, manage non-conforming materials in quarantine, and ensure inventory management compliance. Serve as the primary liaison for EHS organizations, advising facility management on safety matters and conducting required safety and regulatory training for all employees. Coordinate and conduct incident investigations, proposing corrective actions and tracking Worker's Comp and FMLA compliance. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and facilitate the exchange of QA information between production and distribution teams. Conduct regular safety audits, manage hazardous waste compliance, and ensure all emergency evacuation procedures are up to date. Participate in monthly quality and safety meetings, assist in batch release reporting, and monitor sustainability data to meet environmental goals. Requirements High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Proven experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of QC and EHS protocols. Proficiency in data entry, technical spreadsheet analysis, and the ability to interpret complex safety and quality regulations. Ability to regularly stand, walk, climb stairs, and reach; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Demonstrated forklift proficiency (or willingness to be trained) and the ability to operate computerized production display screens. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead training sessions and act as a change agent for safety and quality culture.
