The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products meet company and industry standards by conducting inspections, testing equipment, and evaluating repair processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards. Document and report inspection results, deviations, and non-conformities. Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues. Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Maintain and update quality control documentation, including test records and reports. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and best practices. Collaborate with other departments to improve product quality and process efficiency. Participate in internal and external audits as required. Train employees in quality standards and procedures. Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma Previous experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a related role. Knowledge of industry regulations, quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, FDA, etc.), and testing methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using quality control tools and software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Certification in Quality Control or Quality Assurance (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ Certified Quality Technician). Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
