Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for supporting food safety and quality programs through product inspections, sample collection, GMP monitoring, quality audits, documentation, and compliance activities. This position will work closely with production and quality teams to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and company standards. As a
Quality Control Inspector, You Will:
Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and ensure corrective actions are properly documented and completed. Conduct quality inspections and support internal food safety and quality audits. Verify product labeling, packaging, and production changeovers to ensure compliance and accuracy. Collect pre-harvest, post-harvest, environmental, and product samples using proper aseptic techniques. Perform environmental monitoring and food safety sampling activities. Enter laboratory sample requests and quality data into company systems. Ensure chain of custody procedures are followed for all sample submissions. Perform data entry and documentation related to validation studies and special quality projects. Monitor inventory levels of PPE, food safety supplies, and quality materials. Support GMP compliance initiatives throughout the facility. Provide training and support related to food safety and quality procedures when required. Assist with special projects and additional quality-related activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or Manufacturing Inspection environments. Knowledge of GMPs, food safety programs, quality systems, and documentation practices. Experience collecting samples and performing inspections in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment. Proficient computer and data entry skills. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Additional education or training in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Biology, or related field is a plus.
