in Youngsville, LA is currently looking for a QC Inspector to join our team! This is an entry level position and training will be provided, experience preferred but is not required. We have extremely competitive benefits to offer. This is a full time, hourly position and may initially be processed through a temp service prior to becoming perm.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
Ø Responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections. Ø Responsible for performing hardness testing. Ø Responsible for maintaining gage calibrations. Ø Responsible for documenting inspection results. Ø Responsible for determining accuracy of heat codes and material test reports. Ø Responsible for initiating documentation for nonconforming materials, components, sub-assemblies and finished assemblies. Ø Verification of effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive actions. Ø Maintain a professional relationship with machinists, assemblers, test technicians, final prep personnel, and supervisors and managers. Ø Know and understand Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the QMS. Ø Comply with all health and safety rules.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in an environment where the employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions , working around moving mechanical parts . Drug Free Workplace, must be "Drug Free" at all times, must pass pre-employment screens.

Employee to have special vision requirements as listed below : Close Vision ( Clear vision at 20 inches or less ) , Distance Vision ( Clear vision at 20 feet or more) , peripheral vision , depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Entry Level, willing to train, the below is desirable but not required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Six months related experience.
  • Good computer and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Ability to use testing, measuring and monitoring equipment such as calipers, various micrometers, height gages, indicators and comparators.
  • Visual acuity testing to J2 with or without corrected vision required
  • Forklift experience
  • Ideal candidate will be open to cross training and assisting other areas of the quality department as needed
