Quality Control Inspector Summary of Position:
We are seeking an experienced mechanical Quality Control Inspector for our 1st shift that will support the machine shop manufacturing operation. This position requires performing quality control inspections on a variety of tight-tolerance parts and assemblies using the equipment listed below, as well as maintaining a full-time presence to represent the Quality team on the production floor. The candidate must be able to work independently to perform and document first piece and in-process inspections in accordance with the documented LAB Medical Quality Management System. Must also be able to work collaboratively with Quality and Production personnel to assist in final inspections and/or First Article Inspections as needed. Write nonconformance reports as required and communicate inspection results to the organization through electronic and hard copy systems. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
3-5 years' experience working as a quality inspector in a machine shop or similar environment, preferably in a medical device, automotive, or aerospace setting. Familiarity with CMM (Zeiss Calypso) programming and/or operation preferred Micro-Vu, Keyence, or similar vision system experience desired Experience using standard measuring equipment such as optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, pin gages, etc. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand GD&T. Ability to document detailed inspection results ASQ certification a plus Experience in an FDA-regulated, ISO 13485:2016 compliant environment is desired Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and MRP systems is preferred LAB Medical Manufacturing Inc. offers a team-oriented and excellent work environment.
