Full Job Description Description:
Overview The QC Analyst I is an entry-level, non-exempt position that reports to the QC Management Team. The QC Analyst I is responsible for performing quality control testing on various state-of-the-art diagnostic tests, components and standards for the food and beverage industries. The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $31.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and other factors in accordance with applicable laws. Essential Functions Perform quality control testing on various state-of-the-art diagnostic test kits, components and standards for the food and beverage industries Be part of a QC team dedicated to assuring the quality of these diagnostic tests for food safety Critically evaluate testing in process to determine root cause of out of specification results and carry out appropriate follow up as needed Prepare and summarize data in a timely manner for review by QC/QA management Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained at all times Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
BS or equivalent in Biochemistry or life sciences related field. Excellent attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Outlook Understanding of basic statistics 0 to 2 years QC/QA experience Available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM with some flexibilityPreferred:
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel 0 to 2 years GMP/GLP experience Understanding of aseptic/sterile technique Strong interpersonal skills Diligent and dependable Ability to give and receive feedbackSelf-motivated Physical Requirements:
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds Able to work under the pressure of tight deadlines Able to visually inspect tests for proper performance and/or defects Able to remain in a stationary position for an extended length of time Able to work at a lab bench and at a computer for an extended length of time Able to work for 10 to 15 minutes in low temperature environments (4°C and -20°C) Able to work for up to 4 hours in low humidity environment (Similar remote jobs
