Job Summary Frederick Douglass Tunneling Project - Twin TBM bored tunnels approximate 2 miles long, with nine cross passages, includes excavation for shafts and caverns. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector focused on Construction Materials. This hands-on role is critical in ensuring the quality of material by inspecting, testing, and verifying all products' integrity meets industry standards. As a QC Inspector, this role will work closely with Field Engineers and the Project Manager. A key responsibility of this role will be inspecting in-situ and incoming materials. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret basic construction plans and specifications Collect samples on construction materials; soil, aggregate, hot mix asphalt (HMA) or Portland cement concrete (PCC) in either a laboratory or field setting. Perform quality control testing on one of the above materials. Perform inspection of electronic assemblies and cable assemblies for workmanship and labeling accuracy. Identify and document nonconforming material. Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure proper material status identification. Communicate inspection findings to QC Manager and internal departments as required. Assist with sorting, rework verification, and containment activities when needed. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience. Familiarity with inspection tools and measuring equipment. Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and disciplined inspection habits. Ability to follow spoken/written procedures and work instructions accurately. Comfortable inspecting small components and assemblies under magnification. Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Clear verbal communication skills (generally in English). Ability to write concise and legible inspection notes (generally in English). Reliable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to ask questions when requirements are unclear. Ability to work independently once trained. Not afraid of heights or confined spaces. Must have a valid driver's license throughout the project's duration. Able to work in the country legally and lawfully throughout the project's duration.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
