Job Description

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
Position Purpose:
To perform first article, in process, and final inspections of machined parts.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions:
Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of machined components in accordance with published inspection instructions. Document inspection results and maintain records of compliance in accordance with international standards, internal procedures, and customer requirements. Support operator-led in-process inspection activities Audit and approve inspection records and/or external documents such as certifications. Identify, document, and disposition non-conforming material upon detection of discrepancies or potential discrepancies. Work closely and collaboratively with multiple departments to identify and rectify quality issues. Plan, organize, and prioritize own daily work routine to meet expected schedule of deliverable product. Routinely utilize various measurement techniques. Demonstrate ability to resolve a host of quality issues throughout work processes in adherence with company procedures, quality systems standards, and supplier quality agreement.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent Familiarity with quality inspection procedures, preferably within a manufacturing environment Experience in medical device or manufacturing industry, or related field involving and governed by regulatory compliance; familiarity with ISO9001 requirements preferred Proficiency in reading blueprints and familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to work under deadlines. Ability to juggle multiple priorities. CMM experience preferred. Proficiency with basic math and geometry.
Special Position Requirements:
Detail oriented and methodical. Accurate and detailed record keeping. Capable of organizing, prioritizing, and multi-tasking Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret drawing requirements and perform work to inspection instructions. Ability to use a microscope
