QC Analyst II - Microbial Control (Night Shift)

QC Analyst II - Microbial Control Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA The actual location of this job is in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA. Join our Quality Microbial Control team and play a key role in supporting the production and release of life-saving therapies. In this role, you will contribute to critical microbiological testing and ensure high-quality, timely results that support manufacturing and patient safety. This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards. What you will get An agile career and dynamic working culture An inclusive and ethical workplace Compensation programs that recognize high performance Medical, dental and vision insurance What you will do: Perform microbiological testing to support in-process, lot release, and stability studies for drug products Execute environmental, utility, and HVAC monitoring and sampling throughout the facility Analyze and review microbiological assay data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting Apply company procedures and quality standards to complete a variety of laboratory tasks Identify and assess deviations from standard practices, escalating issues as appropriate Utilize laboratory systems and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting Ensure compliance with data integrity principles, cGMP requirements, and internal quality policies What we are looking for: Associate's degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 2-4 years of experience in a Quality Control or microbiology laboratory environment Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and laboratory practices Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve moderately complex problems Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present and document results clearly Proficiency with laboratory systems and Microsoft Office tools Self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills and a commitment to quality and safety About Lonza At Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
