  • We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Analyst to support quality control laboratory operations for a leading manufacturing organization in the Cincinnati area.
This position is responsible for performing analytical and sensory testing of products, maintaining laboratory documentation, supporting quality systems, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with laboratory experience in food, flavor, fragrance, beverage, chemical, or manufacturing environments who enjoy hands-on testing, data analysis, and working in a fast-paced quality-focused setting.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Analytical & Sensory Testing
  • + Perform routine analytical testing including Flash Point, Refractive Index/Brix, Specific Gravity, pH, Alcohol Content, and other tests as assigned.
+ Conduct sensory evaluations including appearance, aroma, and taste assessments. + Evaluate formulas to estimate flash point and alcohol content. + Identify and troubleshoot abnormal test results and equipment-related issues. + Ensure testing is completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Documentation & Data Management
  • + Record and maintain testing results within applicable systems including databases, QMS platforms, and SAP.
+ Generate and review reports to verify data accuracy and completeness. + Create testing summary reports and communicate requests for untested samples as needed. + Review and execute GSD requests accurately and in a timely manner. + Support approval packet preparation and documentation activities.
  • Laboratory Operations
  • + Perform routine equipment calibrations and verifications to ensure testing accuracy and compliance.
+ Maintain, organize, archive, and dispose of retain samples according to established procedures. + Monitor laboratory inventory and initiate reordering of supplies when necessary. + Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory environment. + Assist with cross-training and support of team members as needed.
  • Qualifications
  • Required
  • + Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related scientific discipline preferred; equivalent laboratory experience will be considered.
+ Minimum 2-3 years of laboratory experience. + SAP experience is required. + Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. + Strong mathematical aptitude and data review skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to read, understand, and explain technical documentation.
  • Preferred
  • + 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within food, beverage, flavor, fragrance, consumer products, or chemical industries. + Experience performing analytical and sensory testing. + Experience working with quality systems and laboratory databases. + Experience with laboratory equipment calibration and troubleshooting.
