Job Description
Trident Seafoods is North America's largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company. Summary :
The FSQA Manager - Shoreplants Rotation provides coverage and support to production facilities. This individual will be responsible for directing and maintaining Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs, ensuring food safety and quality problems are identified and resolved. The FSQA Manager will oversee inspections and audits, investigate product quality problems, and recommend changes or improvements, oversee and support Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs, and maintain proper documentation and reports. This position will rotate across all production locations.Key Responsibilities:
Provides ongoing oversight and maintenance of the facility HACCP programs Responsible for daily compilation, maintenance, and review of HACCP and inspection records to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures. Communicates significant non-conformities or other issues to site management and Support Center FSQA team. Maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals. Reviews all data obtained during all quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures. Addresses customer complaints and compiles relevant data to support the solutions. Plays a key role in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions as issues or concerns arise. Leads data collection, analysis, and resolution around product holds Plans and schedules work of FSQA staff Implements and maintains FSQA training programs Point of Contact for site audits. Supervises the audit preparation, conduction, and corrective action response for regulatory, customer, and 3rd party audits. Manages a team of employees, including hiring, leading, and developing team members. Removes roadblocks, pushes communications, encourages, and assesses performance. Embraces problem-solving as a learning experience.Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with recall program for the facility. Manage and oversee the site SafetyChain (SC) digital record monitoring system. Able to act as the site SC Administrator Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. A minimum of five years of experience in food production/food safety quality assurance. HS Diploma or equivalent HACCP Certification 2 years of prior supervisory experience Ability to travel to remote Alaska Shoreplants for up to 50% of the yearPreferred Qualifications:
