THE WORK

Direct daily activities of the quality team (assignments, coaching, performance reviews). Foster a culture of quality, safety, and accountability. Mentor staff on problem solving and root cause analysis techniques. Oversee incoming, in process, and final inspections using calibrated equipment. Ensure test plans, work instructions, and inspection criteria are current and adhered to. Review and approve non conformance reports (NCRs) and disposition decisions. Monitor adherence to

AS9100, ISO

9001, and other pertinent standards. Conduct internal audits and support external audits (e.g., NIST, DoD). Maintain traceability records, configuration management, and document control. Lead corrective and preventive action activities; drive root cause investigations. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and improve yield. Track key quality metrics (PPM, scrap rate, on time delivery) and report trends to senior management. Interface with customers on quality issues, product acceptance, and warranty claims. Evaluate supplier quality performance; participate in supplier audits and corrective action implementation. Develop and deliver training programs on inspection techniques, quality tools, and regulatory requirements. Ensure team maintains required certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ). Enforce compliance with safety and environmental policies during all quality activities. Participate in safety committees and incident investigations as required.

National Pay Statement Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
