Job Description

Jansen's Aircraft Systems Controls, Inc. specializes in the design and production of high-reliability components for pneumatic, hydraulic, and fuel systems. Since its inception in 1990, JASC has been providing fluid control solutions and advanced products for the aircraft, hypersonic, spacecraft and power generation industries.
QUALITY MANAGER
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining the company's quality function in support of regulated manufacturing, assembly, repair, refurbishment, and test operations. This role owns the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensures compliance with AS9100 (latest revision) and
ISO 9001
2015 standard, and ensures audit readiness across internal operations. The Quality Manager serves as the primary point of coordination for quality system administration, document control oversight, corrective and preventive actions, quality metrics, and compliance activities involving customers, government entities, and third-party auditors. This individual partners closely with manufacturing, operations, engineering, and leadership to ensure products and processes meet established requirements and support continuous improvement. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards Administer quality system processes, including procedures, work instructions, forms, records control, and revision/change management Manage team of quality inspectors to ensure timely inspection of parts, works-in-progress, post-processing, etc. Ensure ongoing compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and contractual quality obligations Lead preparation for and response to external audits, including both customer audits and government audits Plan and conduct internal audits to verify process compliance and system effectiveness Track audit findings, nonconformances, corrective actions, and closure activities to ensure timely and effective resolution Lead or coordinate root cause analysis, corrective action, preventive action, and continuous improvement initiatives Monitor quality performance metrics and provide reporting to on trends and risks Partner with internal departments to address product and process nonconformance issues Support inspection, quality documentation, and compliance requirements tied to manufacturing and development activities Oversee quality record retention, traceability, and documentation practices to ensure audit readiness and configuration discipline
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered 5+ years of quality leadership or quality management experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience administering and maintaining a QMS Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and related ISO-based quality systems Experience leading and supporting customer, government, and third-party audits Experience managing internal audits, corrective actions, and compliance tracking Strong understanding of documentation control, nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods Ability to interpret specifications, procedures, quality requirements, and contractual compliance obligations Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
Pay:
$66,795.63 - $92,442.05 per year
