DIRECTOR RISK MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Risk Management and Quality Assurance reports directly to the CEO and promotes a quality mindset across the hospital. Responsible for Risk Management to minimize potential losses, monitor, and manage risks and liabilities. Responsible for managing all Quality Assurance functions and working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality services organizational wide. Responds to claims of clinical malpractice, addresses patient complaints and complies with federal and state regulations. As the

lead, responsible for implementation and education of the SGMH associates in relation to

principles, domains, and Just Culture. Presents results of the SCORE Survey to each department and aggregates the results to the Executive Team.

REQUIREMENTS

:

Education:

Graduate from a school of nursing with either diploma associate degree or B.S.N. Master's Degree preferred.

Licensure:

Current active license in California. CPHRM certification completion required within one year of date of hire or pursuant to time frames required by certifying agency.

Experience:

Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics software At least three years prior clinical experience in an acute care hospital within the last year. At least one year of management. Other Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Analytic skills Collaboration skills Product management skills QA process skills Demonstrated leadership skills including excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of healthcare clinical fundamentals, patient safety standards, and performance improvement standards. Strong knowledge of CQI tools and techniques, ability to perform data analytics, and lead performance improvement teams. Computer skills and knowledge of applicable software programs. Ability to work with diverse populations.

PAY / BENEFITS

: • Estimated pay: $150,000 to $190,000 annual base salary based on experience and qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable). • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, optional supplemental life (employee, spouse, and/or child coverage), flexible spending accounts (medical and dependent care), 403b retirement with dollar for dollar match up to 5%, paid time off, and more available depending on employment status.
