Utilizing advanced CNC machining technologies, lean-manufacturing principles, and a deep commitment to quality, we produce complex, mission-critical parts for commercial, military, and aerospace applications. Due to continued growth and strategic expansion, we are seeking a seasoned Director of Quality to lead all quality-related functions across our facility.

Reports To:
General Manager Job Description ARMS Precision Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and leadership-driven Director of Quality to oversee our quality assurance and inspection operations. This individual will serve as a member of the executive management team and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our Quality Management System (QMS) within an AS9100 environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can seamlessly balance technical compliance, cross-functional collaboration, and team development while serving as a champion for our high-performing organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities Team Management:
Oversee, mentor, and direct the Inspection and Quality Assurance team members; coordinate daily and weekly inspection schedules, job certifications, internal/customer/3rd-party audits, the preparation of AS9102s, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) monitoring.
Technology Integration:
Lead and coordinate CMM programming activities, CMM scheduling and utilization, other advanced inspection capabilities, and digital ERP integrations to drive toward real-time process capability outputs and a paperless production environment.
Material & Return Control:
Manage the Material Review Board (MRB) and ensure the compliant, timely processing of customer and vendor returns according to established internal procedures.
Documentation & Compliance:
Review and approve AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs); create, update, and maintain robust QMS documentation and quality procedures.
Asset & Calibration Management:
Ensure the pristine condition and availability of all inspection department assets, including gaging inventory oversight, calibration coordination, and preventative equipment maintenance.
Operational Awareness:
Develop and issue clear work instructions and distribute timely quality alerts to maintain high awareness of quality standards across the shop floor.
Collaboration & Communication Cross-Functional Alignment:
Partner closely with engineering and programming teams to ensure inspection reports are accurate and efficient, especially for new product introduction (NPI) jobs.
Information Dissemination:
Attend regular management meetings and effectively cascade critical organizational and operational information down to the quality team.
Supplier & Customer Relations:
Support the contract review process regarding specific customer quality requirements and provide ongoing supplier quality support to ensure vendor compliance.
Continuous Improvement Metrics & KPIs:
Drive the collection, tracking, and analysis of quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Process Optimization:
Initiate, facilitate, and champion continuous improvement initiatives, focusing heavily on decreasing defect rates and elevating overall quality metrics, driving toward a "zero-defect" production culture.

Technical Expertise Aerospace Standards:

Requirements Education:
B.S. in Quality Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent industry experience.
Core Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of dedicated quality experience within an AS9100 environment .
Management Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of direct experience managing and leading a quality or inspection team.
Methodologies:
Practical experience applying PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and Lean Manufacturing concepts such as Six Sigma or the Toyota Production System .
Pay:
$140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
