Quality Manager
- Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing A long?standing aerospace/defense manufacturer in Anaheim is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality department and maintain excellence across complex, tight?tolerance gear and precision?machined components. This facility supports multiple industries
- aerospace, defense, medical, commercial, oil & gas, power generation, and automotive
- with extensive in?
house capabilities including turning, milling, EDM, ID/OD grinding, internal/external gear grinding, form grinding, hobbing, shaping, honing, and more. The Quality Manager position reports to our General Manager and works closely with our production team to maintain quality throughout the shop.
Job Duties:
Oversee Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 & AS9100D Act as the primary point of contact for quality audits and technical discussions regarding certifications and tolerances Oversee a team of inspectors using various metrology equipment to verify complex geometries Perform inspection throughout the manufacturing process including first articles, final inspection and periodic shop verification Oversee MRB, Nonconformances, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions Compile, review AS9102's and cert packs Manage calibration system Collaborate with Buyer/Suppliers on outside processing; manage approved suppliers &
ASL Requirements:
5+ years' manufacturing experience (e.g. CNC/manual lathe, EDM, CNC Mill, CNC Grind, deburr, heat treat etc.) 5+ years' supervisory experience Gear experience preferred Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including
AS9100, AS9102, & ISO9001
Deep knowledge of GD&T Strong knowledge of metrology equipment such as CMM, calipers, micrometers (external, internal, depth), dial & travel indicators, height gauges, gauge blocks, thread gauges, optical comparators etc. Significant experience working directly with customers and suppliers Benefits Subsidized Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance 401(k) matching PTO & Holiday pay
