Job Description
Our client, a premier custom metal fabrication and manufacturing leader, is looking for a Quality Assurance specialist to join their team in Escalon, CA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the inspection of incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, and finished goods, ensuring all products meet stringent quality standards and AWS specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured and purchased components based on shop drawings and technical specifications. Perform visual weld inspections and profile assessments perAWS D1.1
(Sections 5.23 and 6.9). Execute non-destructive testing (NDT) using ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and penetrant methods. Maintain and calibrate precision inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges. Lead investigations into non-conformances to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Conduct internal quality audits to ensure manufacturing systems are sound and supported. Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Service departments to resolve customer or supplier quality issues. Assist with customer audits and participate in data tracking for KPIs, SPC, and Lean manufacturing processes.Requirements:
Technical Skills:
Must be able to read complex shop drawings and accurately interpret weld symbols.Industry Standards:
Proven ability to inspect welds according toAWS D1.1
visual acceptance criteria.Testing Experience:
Proficiency in non-destructive testing (NDT) methodologies.Analytical Ability:
Strong problem-solving skills with basic knowledge of process improvement (Lean, SPC, etc.).Communication:
Ability to communicate findings professionally with employees, customers, and representatives.Safety & Quality:

Pay Rate:
$30.00 per hourShift Options:
Day Shift:
Monday- Thursday (6:30 AM
- 3:00 PM) and Friday (5:00 AM
- 1:30 PM).
Swing Shift:
4/10 schedule (3:00 PM- 1:30 AM).
