QC Coordinator - Automotive Human Bees - 4.2 Fremont, CA Job Details Permanent | Full-time $65,000 - $75,000 a year 22 hours ago Benefits Visa sponsorship Qualifications Microsoft Excel Operations management Team leadership Manufacturing facility Team development Quality audits Full Job Description Position Quality Coordinator Location Fremont, CA Reports to Assistant Operations Manager - Production/Quality Control Summary As Quality Coordinator you will be the first to be contacted on quality matters on the shop floor, provide support and guidance to quality inspectors to maintain higher quality standards. Participate in corrective, preventive (as much as possible) actions to achieve and improve customer satisfaction.
Education / Experience
Degree and/or Certification is a plus, related to field preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or manufacturing environment. Requirements 1+ years of demonstrated success as Quality Leadership position in the Automotiveindustry (preferably).
Skills / Abilities
Ability to synthesize and distill technical analyses into meaningful activities to drive continuous improvement. Ability to write visual aids, quality alerts and educational material. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word Negotiation skills Training in SPC, Color measurements, GAP, and Flush Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to cope with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Duties / Responsibilities
Create daily quality reports compiling all shifts pass-downs. Build strong working relationship between quality control inspectors and production team. Hiring QC process (interview, training and follow up). Participate and conduct Internal Audit programs (LPA, process, and product audits) Mentor quality associates on quality topics (standards, quality issues, customer complaints, scrap rates)product and process. Help maintain data collection. Initiate containment actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to Identify and record any problems relating to the product and process. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through appropriate channels. Team facilitation for continuous improvement projects at floor plant. Provide guidance and disciplinary actions for quality team. Back up and support along different shifts. Schedule creation and timecards approval. Nonconformity material assurance along shop floor. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting at a desk while working on a computer. Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds at times.
