Full-Time, Hybrid but Fresno based preferred Seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance professional to play a critical leadership role in safeguarding the integrity, accreditation, and regulatory excellence of our growing, multi-location analytical laboratory operation. This is a unique opportunity for a QA professional to step into a senior leadership role at BSK Associates, where quality, scientific rigor, and innovation directly support public health and environmental protection. The pay range for this position is $78,000- 115,000 paid hourly, offers will be based on the successful candidate's experience. Role and Responsibilities The Quality Assurance Regional Manager is responsible for the laboratory quality assurance program and its implementation, including setting of quality assurance polices for meeting certification requirements. Is also responsible for the oversight and implementation of the document control system, and the training requirements of the quality assurance system. The Quality Assurance Manager is independent of direct job involvement of operational matters, has direct access to the Laboratory Director to resolves any disputes involving data quality, and has sufficient authority to stop work, if deemed necessary, in the event of serious quality assurance issues. Serves as the focal point for the quality assurance functions of the laboratories and oversees and implements the document control system. Implement and maintain the laboratory Quality Assurance Manual, to meet both ELAP and NELAP requirements. Develop quality assurance plans, coordinate laboratory certification activities (both ELAP and NELAP), and maintain internal audits of the laboratories. Oversee the Performance Testing (PT) sample program; in order to maintain laboratory certification for all methods. Implement and maintain the formal document control system. Develop and maintain training programs for quality assurance procedures, as well as maintaining training records for all methods and analysts. Works with lab managers to ensure SOP's and quality policies are being followed. Provide annual written reports to the Laboratory Director regarding the status of the quality assurance program, as part of the annual management review of the program. Notifies laboratory management of deficiencies in the quality system. In conjunction with the lab manager, conduct annual ethics training for all staff. Provide the laboratory marketing and the client services staff with information regarding the quality assurance program for clients, RFPs and marketing and reviews QAPP and Scopes of work for compliance. Works with PMs and Lab Management to respond to client complaints and issues. Handles regulatory audits and compiles responses to findings. Conducts internal audits. Tracks SOP review and updates, Client Complaints, and Corrective Action Completion This role requires a detail-oriented individual who communicates effectively, stays organized, and consistently contributes extra effort to strengthen the QA program. Success includes partnering with senior leadership while maintaining QA independence, applying sound analytical judgment to balance regulatory compliance with efficiency, and fostering a positive, blameless culture where quality and continuous improvement are shared responsibilities. This role ensures uninterrupted accreditation and regulatory compliance across all methods and locations through timely submissions of accreditation documents, effective audits, and full closure of corrective actions. It leads internal and external audits with a focus on zero major findings, maintains robust QA, training, proficiency testing, and document control systems, and ensures new employee training is completed and documented on time. Success also requires close collaboration with laboratory leadership to meet operational, and client needs while resolving all client complaints promptly through effective corrective and preventive actions Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Science and 15 years experience or 20 years applicable experience with no degree Preferred Skills Microsoft (Excel & Word), computer oriented Excellent oral, written skills Ability to distinguish between regulatory and method requirements and recommendations, to adequately defend allowable lab practices and policies established to ensure efficient production.Similar remote jobs
