Job Description:
Job Description - Quality Manager Overview The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with all applicable customer, industry, and regulatory standards. This role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality processes that support manufacturing operations, supplier management, and overall product integrity. The Quality Manager serves as a key point of contact for audits, quality investigations, and performance improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards Lead internal and external audit activities, serving as the primary contact for customer audits and driving corrective actions as needed Oversee supplier quality programs, including approved supplier lists, audits, and resolution of non-conformances Support engineering and production teams with quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions Ensure compliance of raw materials, in-process work, and finished goods to all specifications and drawing requirements Manage non-conforming material processes and documentation, including supplier communication and resolution Supervise inspection activities and provide direction to quality control staff to meet production and quality objectives Support documentation such as PPAPs, PFMEAs, process flow charts, and contract reviews for quality requirements Maintain calibration systems, inspection controls, and quality documentation processes Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance, reduce defects, and improve operational efficiency Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 3+ years of quality experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, and root cause analysis Working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, and applicable regulatory requirements Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies preferred Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Work Environment & Requirements This role operates in both office and production environments and may require standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Candidates must also meet applicable compliance requirements for working within regulated industries. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with a strong quality background who is passionate about driving compliance, improving processes, and ensuring high standards across operations.
