Position Summary Absolute EMS is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead and oversee our quality control function in support of manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, inspection processes, controlled documentation, audit readiness, and corrective and preventive action programs to ensure products consistently meet customer, regulatory, ISO, and company requirements. The Quality Control Manager will work closely with production, engineering, supply chain, inside sales, customers, and leadership teams to drive product quality, support new product introductions, reduce defects, improve processes, and strengthen a culture of quality throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing quality systems, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the quality control function across manufacturing operations, supporting quality activities from receipt of raw materials through shipment of finished goods. Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve quality standards, inspection methods, procedures, forms, and controlled documentation, including document revisions and DCO updates. Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, internal, and ISO quality management system requirements across all quality-related activities. Partner cross-functionally with production, engineering, supply chain, inside sales, and customers to support new product introductions, improve product quality, reduce defects, and resolve quality concerns in a timely manner. Drive investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions for internal and external quality issues. Manage post-market surveillance activities, including RMAs, customer feedback, and customer satisfaction surveys. Coordinate, perform, and maintain readiness for internal audits, customer audits, and registrar audits, while ensuring quality records and documentation are complete and audit-ready. Oversee equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and manufacturing ESD and environmental control programs. Monitor, analyze, and present quality performance metrics and trends to leadership, including quarterly quality metrics and semi-annual management reviews. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the quality system and manufacturing processes. Train, mentor, and support quality personnel through regular meetings and ongoing training in quality concerns, inspection techniques, ISO standards, and company procedures. Promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and established procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered Experience in a quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment required Strong understanding of quality systems, inspections, corrective actions, and continuous improvement Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Experience in electronics manufacturing is preferred Preferred Certifications ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
