LOCATION
Watsonville, CA to Yuma, AZ
DEFINITION
Responsible for comprehensive knowledge of food safety rules and regulations for their individual requirements and those of whom they supervise.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties listed below represent the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them if the work is related or a logical assignment to this class.
- Adherence to food safety GMP and GHP when handling new food.
- Responsible for reviewing and completion of Food Safety documents.
- Implement Food Security/Defense program in the context of their position in Custom AgPak, LLC.
- The ability to escort guests and assist inspectors.
- Ability to prepare, conduct, and train safety and pre-operational inspections.
- Supervise the documentation process along with the quality control points within the scope at Custom AgPak, LLC.
- The ability to train and maintain programs.
- Responsible for addressing food safety issues reported by QC and employees.
- Responsible for the quality of their activities on the production floor.
- Performs quality functions using the most effective communication skills.
- Reports to the Director of Food Safety
- Ensure Food Safety Program requirements are performed in the manner expressed through written documentation, reports, and training.
- A great understanding of HACCP and the food safety requirements.
- Be an active member of the HACCP and food defense teams to ensure food safety and quality are identified and maintained
- A working knowledge of all testing equipment
ATP, ORP
metering system
- Ensure and enforce SOP guidelines.
Knowledge of:
GSFI, Organic, and LGMA audits Ability to:
- Able to identify situations of contamination and take appropriate action.
- Able to communicate with management at various levels such as Director of Food Safety, and Director of Operations clearly and rapidly.
- Strict adherence to rules outlined by SDS and Manufacturer's guidance, and the proper handling of testing equipment and chemical products and being able to train others on proper handling.
- Oversee, supervise and train on all safety procedures, as prescribed by Pack Fresh Processors, LLC.
- Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite, Heavy Connect on a tablet.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Act with a high degree of honesty and meet challenging objectives and commitments in a timely manner.
- Able to think strategically and conceptually while managing execution of program SOPs.
- The ability to carry out projects given by the Director of Food Safety.
- The ability to execute a GAP or GFSI Audit with a high degree of competency.
- Review and maintain all required documentation in an organized manner during internal and external audits.
- Provide support in raw product quality attributes and finished product sensory shelf-life evaluations.
- Lead the hold and release programs for raw products and finished goods.
- Assist the Director of Food Safety with plant regulatory, customer, and third-party audits by leading tours of the facility and explaining plan programs to maintain safety
- Maintain supplies and equipment inventory and
SDS/MSDS
binders.
- Manage special projects as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training and Experience:
- 4 to 5 years of Supervisor/Manager experience in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual:
English and Spanish required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
- HACCP and PCQI Certified- or the ability to obtain these rapidly

Work Environment:
The employee works in a factory environment subject to noise levels usually in the moderate range. However, in some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.

May require after-hours work, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Will require individual to travel back and forth Yuma Az, to Watsonville Ca.
