Job Description

The Quality Control Manager manages quality control processes and employees in order to ensure high-quality, cost-effective products are produced. Employee Referral Program Student Loan Repayment Program Responsibilities The QC Manager :
Directs, trains, supports, and develops Quality Control staff. Establishes standard processes to test, control, and take corrective actions relating to product quality Generates mix designs to meet customer specifications Manages cost effectiveness, application viability, and number of mix designs necessary to support business requirements Interfaces with customers to influence product application decisions and satisfy customer requirements. Communicates necessary information and issues with plant operators and managers Troubleshoots technical field issues to meet customer needs Takes samples, performs testing and fills out test result forms Communicates effectively with MDOT, QA, local government agencies, and consultants Ensures R-18 QC Manual compliance Coordinates coverage and supervision of employees and rental technicians Calibrates and maintains equipment and keeps records Skills The ideal candidate will have: Knowledge of asphalt mix designs, appropriate applications and mix adjustments. Knowledge of aggregates Must be computer literate with knowledge of spreadsheets and computerized batching systems. A leader with excellent people skills to successfully work with operations and sales management, employees, customers, and government representatives. Ability to work closely with operations management to improve products or services. Capable of communicating technical subject matter both in writing and verbally to a variety of audiences. Capable of training employees and customers in formal and informal settings.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
