Quality Manager TGC Digital Milford, CT Job Details Full-time $90,000 - $120,000 a year 10 hours ago Qualifications Compliance audits & assessments Quality management Bachelor's degree Manufacturing Root cause analysis
Key Responsibilities1. Quality Management System (QMS) Ownership Develop, implement, and maintain QMS (ISO 9001 / AS9100) Ensure procedures, documentation, and work instructions are current and followed Lead internal audits and maintain audit readiness Manage document control and revision processes 2. Product Quality & Inspection Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections Establish inspection plans, control plans, and sampling methods Ensure calibration and proper use of inspection tools and gauges Support first article inspections (FAI) and PPAP submissions 3. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action Lead root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Drive resolution of internal and external non-conformances Track trends and identify systemic quality issues 4. Customer & Supplier Quality Serve as primary contact for customer quality concerns and audits Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance 5. Continuous Improvement Lead initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and defects Promote a culture of quality and accountability across operations 6. Metrics & Reporting Track and report KPIs (PPM, scrap, rework, on-time delivery impact) Provide insights and data-driven recommendations to leadership 7. Team Leadership Supervise and mentor quality inspectors and technicians Train staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices Qualifications 5-10+ years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing quality 2+ years in a supervisory or management role preferred Strong knowledge of AS9100 and QMS systems Experience with inspection tools, gauges, and measurement systems Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred Equivalent experience will be considered Skills & Competencies QMS Management (ISO 9001 / AS9100) Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, CAPA, etc.) Blueprint reading and interpretation ERP systems (JobBOSS2, E2, ProShop, or similar) Microsoft Excel and reporting tools Key Traits for Success Detail-oriented and highly organized Strong communication across shop floor and leadership Hands-on and proactive problem solver Comfortable in a fast-paced, small-team environment Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Reporting Structure Reports to: Site President Collaborates with: Leadership team, production staff, customers, and suppliers
