Quality Control / Shop Supervisor (Hands-On)

Pay:

BOE Westaff is seeking a hands-on Quality Control / Shop Supervisor to oversee daily shop operations and ensure all products meet quality standards and customer requirements. This role combines shop supervision, inspection, and direct involvement in quality control .

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily production, assign work, and maintain shop floor presence Ensure work meets drawings, specifications, and procedures Troubleshoot production and quality issues in real time Perform in-process and final inspections Use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Identify defects and implement corrective actions Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation Prepare and review quality reports for customers Support audits and ensure compliance with requirements Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean work environment Train and coach employees on quality standards Support Lean / 5S and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred) 5+ years of manufacturing/shop experience Experience in quality control or shop supervision Ability to read blueprints and specifications Hands-on experience with inspection tools Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience in

ISO 9001

environment preferred Strong computer skills (Excel, reporting systems) 5+ years of manufacturing/shop experience; Experience with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers); Experience in ISO-certified environment (ISO 9001); Experience with inspection reporting and audits
