Job Description

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality operations, ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements, and leading quality personnel. This role drives consistency in inspection practices, supports production quality and promotes continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment. This position also serves as the primary management liaison, supporting broader operational, employee relations and communication needs in the absence of other leadership, and functions as a working supervisor, performing quality technician duties as needed to support operations. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Quality Technicians to ensure effective inspection coverage and consistent application of quality standards. Ensure inspections (incoming, in-process, first article and final) are performed accurately and in accordance with specifications, blueprints and customer requirements. Review and approve inspection documentation, certifications and quality records for completeness and compliance. Interpret blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements to support quality and production teams. Monitor and enforce compliance with quality systems, procedures and product segregation requirements on the production floor. Oversee nonconformance processes, including review, disposition (within authority), escalation and timely closure. Partner with leadership to address quality issues, drive corrective actions and maintain product quality and efficiency. Implement and support SPC methods and other quality tools to improve process capability and performance. Lead training and development efforts for Quality and Production employees related to inspection methods, quality standards and procedures. Evaluate employee performance, provide coaching, and support skill development for quality staff. Ensure proper maintenance, calibration coordination, and availability of inspection equipment and tools. Maintain and review quality metrics, reports, and departmental records to monitor performance and identify trends. Support internal and external audits, including preparation, participation, and follow up on corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, recurring issues and opportunities for increased efficiency and quality. Perform Quality Technician duties during periods of low staffing, high workload, or as needed to support operations. Provide hands-on support for containment activities, including sorting, reinspection and line clearance. Lead by example in adhering to inspection standards, documentation practices and quality expectations. Serve as the on-site leadership representative during assigned shifts in the absence of other management. Act as a liaison to management and HR for employee concerns, incidents and policy-related matters. Support departmental leads with decision-making, issue escalation and adherence to company policies. Respond to and document workplace incidents, employee relations issues and operational concerns, ensuring timely communication to appropriate leadership. Reinforce company policies, safety expectations, and professional conduct across all departments. Other duties as assigned. Quality Assurance Assistant Manager - Reports to

Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment Prior leadership/supervisory experience required
