Job Description

QHSE Estero Rizzani de Eccher Share Rizzani de Eccher, Italian company operating worldwide in the Construction Industry, is looking for a Quality Control Engineer to join the team for an important project in Bucharest, Romania . This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to contribute to a major international road construction project. Key Responsibilities Supervise material testing, ensuring timely preparation and submission of results to consultants. Manage site test schedules according to project priorities. Record and methodically file test results and prepare progress reports. Select and assess materials for specific construction needs, balancing performance, cost, and environmental considerations. Solve issues arising during production or construction, advising on inspection, maintenance, and repair. Oversee quality control throughout the construction process, monitoring plant conditions and material behavior. Ensure products comply with national and international quality standards. Collaborate with colleagues in technical support, purchasing, and project management. Lead and supervise materials engineering technicians and related staff. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in civil works, including cut and fill operations, subbase and base course preparation, priming, surface dressing, or asphalt concrete; drainage systems, culverts, stone masonry, concreting, bridges, and ancillary works (road marking and signage). Proven experience in managing materials laboratories for road construction projects. Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of quality standards, design compliance, and method statements. Expertise in producing technical reports, specifications, and standards. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. High motivation, integrity, strong organizational skills, and a solution-oriented mindset. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Fluent in both English and Romanian . Additional Qualifications Comprehensive understanding of construction quality control, health and safety, planning, and commercial management.
