Job Description

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for execution of routine product-level quality control activities supporting Swedencare North America's Quality Management System (QMS) for distributed and labeled animal health and pet supplement products. This role supports quality operations through inspection, documentation review, inventory quality controls, and maintenance of inspection-ready records. The position plays a critical role in ensuring incoming and outgoing products meet established specifications and quality requirements while supporting compliance with FDA and NASC expectations. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position focused on execution, accuracy, traceability, and timely escalation of quality issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Incoming & Outgoing Quality Activities Perform incoming inspections of finished goods, packaging components, labels, and related materials. Verify received materials and products meet approved specifications and documentation requirements. Support outgoing shipment verification activities as assigned. Documentation & COA Review Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for completeness and alignment with approved specifications. Maintain organized and inspection-ready quality records, logs, and supporting documentation. File and maintain supplier quality documentation, retain records, and inspection records. Inventory & Product Control Support inventory status control activities including quarantine, hold, and release processes under QA direction. Manage retain sample logging, organization, and retention activities. Assist with product returns processing and documentation. Escalation & Quality Support Identify and escalate quality discrepancies, damaged product, labeling issues, specification deviations, or documentation concerns to QA. Support investigations by collecting records, photos, samples, and related information. Assist with audit preparation and general QMS support activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of experience in Quality Control, warehouse quality, manufacturing support, inspection, or related operational environment preferred. Experience working in regulated industries preferred, including food, pet products, dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, medical devices or consumer packaged goods.
Required Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions. Basic understanding of inspection and documentation practices. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, electronic records, and document systems. Ability to communicate issues clearly and professionally. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience reviewing Certificates of Analysis (COAs). Experience with inventory control or warehouse quality processes. Familiarity with GMP, FDA-regulated environments, or quality systems. Experience supporting audits or inspections. Warehouse experience is a plus.
Work Environment:
Combination of office, warehouse, and operational environments. May require lifting, inspection of palletized materials, and periodic warehouse activities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with changing priorities.
