Traveling Federal QCM Traveling Federal Quality Control Manager (QCM) Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Federal Quality Control Manager (QCM) to oversee quality control operations on federal projects across the country. This role is crucial to ensure compliance with federal regulations and quality standards, particularly in construction and facility management. This is a traveling role that will require 3 weeks on base and then a trip home every month for an extended weekend. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for federal projects. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulations. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and contractors to maintain project quality. Ensure compliance with EM-385 and OSHA regulations across all job sites. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of quality control activities and findings. Provide training and support to staff on quality control practices and standards. Review and approve subcontractor quality control plans and documents. Act as the primary point of contact for quality control issues with NAVFAC, USACE, and other government entities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control for federal projects. Certification as a Quality Control Manager (QCM) preferred. Strong knowledge of EM-385 and OSHA regulations. Proven ability to travel extensively and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with government contractors such as AECOM, Doyon, and Seapac preferred.
