In this pivotal role, you will be primarily responsible for overall quality of the company both internal and external to include industry certifications, statutory, and regulatory requirements relating to products and report top management on business practices. The Quality Manager will supervise receiving, in-process, final inspectors and internal auditors.
Principal Responsibilities:
Oversee inspection of incoming materials, in-process material/product, and final product prior to delivery to ensure requirements are met Interface with all level of employees on all quality related matters to include customer complaints and return material (RMA) Review and analyze collected data for management review on set company objectives Participate in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement Perform other related duties as assigned Excellent interpersonal and communication skills by phone, e-mail, in-person Ability to read, interpret, and explain statutory and regulatory requirements to all level of employees Oversee day-to-day business activities on the production floor in regards to workmanship quality Define and implement company policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards Ability to determine type of inspections to be performed such as 100%, sampling, or reduced sampling
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain an effective Quality Management System (QMS) that complies to business needs, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes that affect the quality of the company's products Lead all employees through training to understand and implement business, customer, and industry requirements with an emphasis on quality first Interface with customers and external parties such as registrars and regulatory agencies Thorough understanding and performance in industry auditing practices both internally and externally Ability to read and interpret component datasheets, electronic assembly drawings, and industry workmanship and quality management system standards Ability to determine critical inspection points Write, implement, and train to policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards Set a consistent example for others in management effectiveness, leadership style, communication, and integrity. Mentor and guide coworkers/new hires as required. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Maintain compliance with company safety policies by adhering to all established safety protocols and ESD procedures to protect sensitive electronic components. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Computer literacy is essential, along with the ability to read, write, review, and approve documentation. Participate in company-sponsored and specialized training programs to enhance skills and professional development. Requirements Minimum of BS/BA degree with at least 3 years quality assurance and 1 year of management experience or 10 years of quality assurance with minimum 5 years in management Three or more years experience in Electronics contract manufacturing Quality Management Systems Internal and/or External Auditing PCB, PCA, Box Build and Cable Inspection Working knowledge of
ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 IPC 610/620, J-STD-001
certification, and
IPC 7711/7721
Certification Certifications, as a trainer or auditor are a plus. Demonstrated working knowledge of IPC A 610, IPC-A-620, and
J-STD-001
trainer certification is required.
