Job Description

Overview Southeast Cherokee Construction, Inc., a Federal General Contractor, is seeking a qualified Quality Control Manager (QCM) for a building construction project at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing the project's Quality Control Program in accordance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) contract requirements. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all contract documents and USACE quality control requirements. Implement and manage all phases of the project's Quality Control Program. Coordinate and oversee quality control activities for multiple trades and concurrent construction operations. Prepare, review, and track material submittals for Architect/Engineer and Government approval. Maintain accurate and detailed daily quality control reports utilizing RMS 3.0. Interact daily with Government representatives, project management personnel, subcontractors, and inspectors. Conduct daily field inspections and verify that materials and workmanship comply with approved submittals, plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Manage and maintain submittal logs, RFI logs, testing documentation, maintenance records, and other project-related quality control documentation. Conduct Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections in accordance with the Three-Phase Control System. Develop and manage project punch lists and coordinate corrective actions with subcontractors to achieve timely completion. Participate in project meetings and support overall project execution. Assist the Project Superintendent and Project Management Team as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Required Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) Certification. Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience as a Quality Control Inspector and/or Quality Control Manager on Government construction contracts. Minimum of two (2) years of experience utilizing RMS 3.0 (Resident Management System). Thorough understanding of USACE quality control procedures, specifications, and the Three-Phase Control System. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Preferred Qualifications Experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects. Experience on Department of Defense (DoD) construction projects. Active military installation access eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain installation access as required. Experience managing quality control programs on projects valued at $5 million or greater. Requirements Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must successfully pass a background investigation required for project site access. Valid Driver's License required.
