Plant Manager and Owner Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Quality Control & Inventory Manager to oversee product quality, inventory control, and shipping and receiving operations within our wholesale bakery warehouse. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet company quality standards while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control, inventory management, warehouse operations, and food production environments. This individual must be highly organized, dependable, and capable of working in a fast-paced operation that supports a 24/7 production schedule. Key Responsibilities Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications. Conduct inspections of raw materials, work-in-process items, and finished products. Document and report quality concerns and assist in implementing corrective actions. Maintain quality control records and inspection documentation. Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures. Investigate product quality issues and assist with resolution efforts. Work closely with production staff to identify opportunities for quality improvement. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records for ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods. Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs. Ensure proper product rotation and storage practices. Maintain organized warehouse locations and inventory tracking systems. Shipping & Receiving Oversee daily shipping and receiving activities. Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips. Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy. Ensure customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. Maintain shipping and receiving records and documentation. Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding deliveries and shipments. Monitor warehouse flow to support timely order fulfillment. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field. Experience working in a food manufacturing, bakery, or distribution environment preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple departments. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
