This role plays a key part in maintaining construction quality, ensuring client satisfaction, and promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans, procedures, and guidelines. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and contract requirements. Coordinate, oversee, and maintain documentation for soil and concrete testing activities. Identify and resolve quality issues, deficiencies, and non-conformances related to materials, workmanship, and construction processes. Work closely with project teams to establish corrective and preventive actions. Review and maintain project documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality requirements. Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding quality control practices and standards. Conduct training sessions to improve understanding of quality procedures and requirements. Monitor quality control activities throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare reports and maintain records to track quality performance metrics. Participate in project meetings and provide recommendations to improve overall quality outcomes. Required Qualifications Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secured facilities, including military installations. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Control Manager, Superintendent, or Project Manager within heavy civil construction. Experience managing subcontractors and/or teams of two or more personnel. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, processes, and quality control practices. Familiarity with quality control tools, equipment, and software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience with landfills, geosynthetic/clay liner systems, earthworks, concrete structures, and HDPE piping. Experience using Procore, Unifier, or similar project management/document control systems. Strong background coordinating and monitoring soil and concrete testing programs. Relevant certifications such as CQM-C, Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). Experience working on USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) projects.
