Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team. The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout our candy manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for supporting daily quality activities, monitoring production processes, assisting with inspections and audits, and ensuring finished products meet company standards as well as regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about producing safe, high-quality confections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
  • Review new formulas, processes and methods for solution of technical problems related to production.
  • Provide quality control specifications for new production formulations.
  • Examine product information to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Compile and maintain regulatory documentation databases or systems.
  • Prepare regulatory or compliance documentation and communicate with government agencies.
  • Provide pre
  • ongoing, and post-inspection follow-up assistance to governmental inspectors.
  • Coordinate recall or market withdrawal activities as necessary.
  • Write or update standard operating procedures, work instructions, or policies.
  • Train personnel in organizational and compliance procedures.
  • Assist with the development of product labels to include regulatory compliance, safe handling and use recommendations.
  • Prepare or maintain technical files as necessary to obtain and sustain product approval.
  • Interpret regulatory rules or rule changes and ensure that they are communicated through corporate policies and procedures.
  • Review product promotional materials, labeling, batch records, specification sheets, or test methods for compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Assist with product liability and customer service concerns as necessary.
  • Test quality of materials or finished products.
  • Perform regular maintenance of laboratory equipment by inspecting, calibrating, cleaning, or sterilizing.
  • Order supplies needed to maintain inventories in laboratories or in storage facilities of food or beverage processing plants.
  • Recommend changes to company procedures in response to changes in regulations or standards.
  • Determine regulations or procedures related to the management, collection, reuse, recovery, or recycling of packaging waste. Qualifications
  • BS in Chemistry or related field.
  • Previous experience in a quality, regulatory or compliance role.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to the industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in interpreting complex regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to understand, interpret & act on operational metrics.
  • Experience in meeting production schedules, managing and improving line efficiency.
  • Strong technical knowledge of equipment.
Pay:
$60,000.00
