Job Description

Quality Control Support Position Summary This position is tasked with supporting the company's quality assurance efforts by inspecting materials, components, and finished products throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality Control Support employee works closely with production teams to ensure products meet company quality standards, customer requirements, and ISO expectations. This role helps identify quality concerns, maintain accurate records, and promote consistency across all manufacturing departments while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Quality Control Support Responsibilities Utilize quality control checklists to verify materials, parts, and components prior to production and shipment. Perform periodic inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and production requirements. Identify missing, incorrect, damaged, or non-conforming materials and communicate findings promptly to supervisors and department leads. Work closely with production teams to pause, correct, or delay production and shipments when necessary to ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality compliance. Maintain detailed inspection records, quality logs, and tracking documentation to support internal quality standards and ISO requirements. Support department-level quality personnel by reinforcing consistency, accountability, and adherence to established quality procedures across all manufacturing areas. Assist with investigations of quality concerns, non-conformances, and corrective actions to help improve processes and reduce defects. Apply previous experience in metal manufacturing, fabrication, welding, machining, or quality control environments to identify potential quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Preferred Qualifications Experience in metal manufacturing, fabrication, welding, machining, or a quality control role within a manufacturing environment preferred. Familiarity with reading blueprints, work orders, measuring devices, and manufacturing specifications is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality concerns before products reach customers.
