SHIFT QA SUPERVISOR 425
Horizon Drive, Suwanee, GA 30024 Full-time Full-time Suzanna's Kitchen is a medium sized manufacturer with two facilities and growing in national distribution of fully cooked/frozen food products in Suwanee, GA (North Metro Atlanta area). We need an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to oversee the QA department during 2nd shift . This person will oversee all aspects of quality control and safety, ensuring product quality standards are met. Will be responsible for leading the team to achieve maximum results in control of quality and food safety.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Uphold all company policies and procedures to ensure safety of our customers by following SSOP, GMP, Food Security, HACCP programs. Follow all inspection criteria and procedures to ensure quality product. Reports to production supervision and Q.A. Management any plant personnel not following proper procedures in the above mentioned programs. He/or She will keep up with employee hours worked, time edits, vacations, absenteeism, leaves of absence and days off. He/or She will be involved with the training of new employees, assist with work related problems and report to management any discrepancies in the department. Will also be responsible to perform the following tasks: Responsible for overseeing and administering quality department: Must be able to perform, understand, develop and train all personnel on all quality assurance, food safety, HACCP, GMP, waste disposal, etc., procedures. Must be able to perform, understand, develop and train all personnel on all quality audits and checks of customer products according to customer specifications. Must be able to perform, understand, develop and train all personnel on all quality related pre-operational procedures. Must be able to perform, understand, develop and train all personnel on necessary testing, inspection, and monitoring of activities associated with production and properly document all. Responsible for paperwork organization, review and compilation. Must have paperwork in order for ongoing and special audits. Responsible for assigning and reviewing plant GMP auditing. Able to perform employee evaluations, hiring, training, discipline and development. Responsible for assisting management in solving plant production, processes and product problems and assist in special projects when needed. Responsible for implementing all testing, procedures, tracking and monitoring as required by Operations Manager Must work with other department's supervisors, leads and management to convey issues and corrective actions when needed. Must have the ability to stop/ control product by separation and tagging if it does not meet requirements of customer specifications, USDA regulations or Suzanna's guideline. Once product is retained, must be able to document the issues, corrective actions and communicate to management. Have a good understanding of USDA regulation as it pertains to our operations and be able to apply them to daily production. Is capable of interpreting customer specifications as it pertains to our products and procedures.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma / General Education Degree (GED); Three years of proven QA Supervisor Experience.
Language / Math
SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively to Management and other employees. Must have excellent Math Skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compare rate, ratio, and percent. Computer SKILLS Ability to work with advanced Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to use email, Internet. Ability to print and Scan documents. Advanced data entry skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to tolerate extreme Cold/Hot environment temperatures. Ability to handle extreme Cold/Hot Product. Ability to Walk/Stand for long periods of time.
