Summary of Responsibilities The QA Specialist Manager will review and audit home health clinical documentation, OASIS assessments, and ICD-10 coding for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement optimization. They will use their clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to ensure documentation supports physician ordered care, appropriate care planning, and quality patient outcomes. The QA Specialist Manager will collaborate with clinicians, coders, clinical supervisors, and healthcare team members regarding documentation clarification, coding accuracy, regulatory updates, and opportunities for clinical improvement. This is done by presenting in-person at monthly education staff meetings and on-on-one training with new hires. This supervisory role provides oversight and guidance to clinical staff related to coding accuracy, documentation standards, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives to support exception patient care and organizational performance. This detail-oriented role helps maintain compliance with Medicare and home health guidelines while supporting high quality patient care, accurate reimbursement, and positive organizational outcomes. Qualifications Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho or other compact state, required. Current CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) or CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification, required.
Preferred Certification:
HCS-D or other relevant certification. One (1) year of registered nursing experience in coding and quality assurance in home health, transitional care units, or community health. Expert level knowledge of home health regulations, OASIS documentation, ICD-10 coding, and Medicare guidelines, highly preferred. Homecare Homebase EMR proficiency, highly preferred. Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR. Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and ability to drive in various weather conditions to ensure reliability.
