QA Supervisor

• Schaumburg, IL (Relocating to Elgin, IL by End of Year) | On-Site | Direct Hire | $65,000
• $90,000 About the Opportunity A well-established precision machining company in the Schaumburg/Elgin, IL area is looking for a QA Supervisor to lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities within their manufacturing facility. This is a backfill for a leadership role that sits at the intersection of hands-on quality oversight and ISO/QMS compliance
• the right person comes in, leads a small team of QC technicians and inspectors, and has direct visibility to plant leadership.

Note:

This position is currently based in Schaumburg, IL with a planned relocation to the company's Elgin, IL facility by the end of the year. What You'll Be Doing Leading and overseeing all QA/QC operations and inspection processes across the manufacturing facility Conducting internal audits and ensuring full ISO 9001 and QMS compliance Leading root cause analysis and managing CAPA processes from issue identification through resolution Managing quality documentation, reporting, and corrective action tracking Training, supervising, and developing a team of approximately 3 QA/QC technicians and inspectors Collaborating with production, engineering, and suppliers to maintain and improve product quality Handling customer quality complaints and driving timely resolutions Leading continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve quality performance What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of QA supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment

• strong preference; minimum 3 years of exposure Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• required Hands-on experience leading CAPA processes and root cause analysis
• required Experience managing direct reports and developing QA/QC staff
• required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered Background in precision machining, metals, automotive, aerospace, or job-shop manufacturing strongly preferred Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and clear communication across departments Nice to Have ISO certification or lead auditor credentials Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience Supplier quality management experience What We're NOT Looking For Candidates from GMP-regulated or pharma environments will not be the right fit for this role.

This position requires hands-on manufacturing quality leadership

Candidates without direct reports or supervisory experience will not be considered. Hours:

1st Shift | Approximately 8:00 AM
