1st shift Job Description The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the quality control and assurance teams. The role ensures that all products manufactured in the facility meet stringent quality and safety standards, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal food safety programs. This position requires close collaboration with production, maintenance, sanitation, R D, and cross-functional teams for consistent product quality and continuous process improvement. Responsibilities Supervise and provide guidance to quality technicians and other quality personnel, ensuring proper execution of their duties. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support the development and training of quality staff. Schedule and manage quality team workloads to ensure production lines are properly monitored. Ensure that all products meet quality standards by overseeing inspections, product sampling, and testing. Review quality reports, analyze data trends, and report production quality issues. Manage daily quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Assist in maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and certification programs. Lead internal audits and support third-party audits, ensuring audit readiness. Ensure adherence to HACCP, GMPs, and relevant food safety programs. Oversee the Environmental Monitoring Program, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and collaborate to implement corrective actions. Lead root cause analysis for quality deviations and establish corrective and preventive actions. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for quality procedures. Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of quality control activities. Prepare and submit quality performance reports, highlighting trends and issues. Train production and quality personnel on food safety and quality procedures. Work closely with production supervisors to ensure quality expectations are understood and adhered to. Essential Skills Experience in quality assurance and quality control within the food industry. Supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment. Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Vernon Hills, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
